The Light of My Life

I opened my eyes ..

I saw a light .. Very bright .. So bright, it blinded me ..

I blinked my eyes .. But everything was pure white .. Couldn't even see my own hands ..

If I can't see anything, can I call it darkness??

What do I thank it for, then?

For plunging me into a darkness no light can ever dispel??

  1. Well written.

"I blinked my eyes .. But everything was pure white .. Couldn't even see my own hands .."
was a nice construct just like "If I can't see anything, can I call it darkness??" is an awesome question.

And yes, if you can't see anything, complete whiteness is as bad as darkness.

Cut down on "..", and too many question marks. Considered superfluous.

  2. Umm..you see
If you intend a fervous pilgrimage to thee,
And keep your drooping eyelids open wide,
While you look on darkness which the blind do see
you'll save that soul's most lovely sight! :D

That, apart! dispel does pretty fine with just the one l it is allotted. And plunging into is a better feeling than plunging in. :D

    P.S: Swethey! :P
